TRAVEL GRANTS

The IEEE Magnetic Society will award travel grants of up to $1000 each to a limited number of students working in basic and applied magnetism. These grants are intended to partially offset travel costs to attend Intermag 2012. Support is for current graduate students only, including PhD candidates and those students in Masters only programs. Postdoctoral fellows, undergraduates or non-students are not eligible. Preference will be given to students who are student Members of the Magnetics Society, nearing completion of their graduate studies and presenting conference papers. Students’ advisors are required to be members of the Magnetics Society. Students who have previously received travel support from the Magnetics Society for any conference are not eligible.

After you receive confirmation that your digest has been accepted for Intermag 2012 (in early February), please submit your application for a student travel grant via the link provided below. For the application to be considered, the student must complete and submit the on-line application form. The student's advisor must submit an on-line letter of endorsement. In addition, a second on-line letter of endorsement, which must be from an IEEE Magnetics Society member, is also required.

The deadline for applications is February 24, 2012
